Drawing on the multiple properties of gypsum

Gypsum is a soft sulfate mineral composed of calcium sulphate dihydrate with the chemical formula CaSO4·2H2O. Widely mined, it is used as a fertiliser and as the main constituent in many forms of plaster, blackboard and sidewalk chalk, and drywall.

Gyproc products combine an array of benefits to optimise your shipping building project:

  • Noise reduction

  • Fire resistance

  • Easy installation

  • Aesthetics

  • Indoor air quality

  • Moisture resistance

Gyproc solutions for Marine and Offshore – Rigidur Marine, Glasroc F, Glasroc X – are all designed for interior drywall partitions, ceilings and drylining as part of lightweight, sustainable and fire-rated systems.

All our solutions are lightweight, sustainable and fire-rated to meet the demanding requirements of the Marine and Offshore sector, making life easier for both architects and installers. By investing time and resources in R&D, we strive to develop ever lighter solutions that adapt to different designs and requirements.

Durable interior walls and partitions

Interior walls and partitions need to be robust to ensure a stable structure over time. This is why Rigidur H Marine gypsum fibreboard combines rigidity, durability, mechanical strength and scratch resistance. It is also a fire safety material that fulfils MED requirements for non-combustibility. Bear in mind that reducing the weight of your interior linings also reduces your fuel consumption and can increase your payload.
